Why it works

Sunscreen loses its effectiveness throughout the day due to sweat, water, friction, and simply the passage of time. Almost everyone knows this, yet almost no one reapplies. The reason is practical, not conceptual: you are in the car, on your bike, or on the sidelines, and you have nowhere to wipe your hands. A stick removes that barrier.

It offers broad-spectrum protection: SPF 50+ against UVB, as well as UVA, visible light, and infrared, featuring Fernblock, the fern extract that Heliocare uses as an antioxidant alongside the filters. The formula is water and sweat-resistant and remains transparent, so you can also use it over makeup.

How to use it

Go over the same area two to three times, in both directions, until you can see that the product has been applied. One quick swipe is not enough. Repeat every two hours, and after swimming or heavy sweating.

What I would like to share with you

This stick is my favorite solution to the most honest observation regarding sun care: almost no one uses enough product, and almost no one reapplies. You only achieve the SPF stated on the packaging with a generous layer and by reapplying every two hours, so a product you actually have with you is worth more than a perfect cream that stays at home.

My tip: keep one in your bike pannier or gym bag and leave it there. You won't use what you have to go out of your way to find.
