Description
A mineral powder with a built-in brush that softens visible redness and makes your complexion look calmer.
Why it works
Concealing redness with high-coverage foundation rarely works completely: you need a thick layer, and as soon as it thins out anywhere, the red shows through again. Color correction works differently. Yellow is opposite red on the color wheel, and a thin layer of yellow pigment optically neutralizes that red tone, allowing you to achieve an even look with much less coverage.
The formula is talc-free and mineral-based. It contains honeysuckle, a botanical extract that calms the skin and makes the complexion look more even, and aloe vera, which cools and hydrates. It also features an antioxidant complex with vitamins C and E. The powder comes in packaging with a built-in, twist-up brush, so you can touch it up on the go without any mess.
For whom
For anyone who experiences redness around the nose, on the cheeks, or on the chin, and for those who flush easily after exercise, a hot shower, or during temperature changes. The light, yellow base shade works best on light to medium skin. It is also great after a treatment where the skin still looks a bit warm and you want to head out without wearing full makeup.
How to use it
Unscrew the cap and twist the brush a few times until powder is in the bristles. Tap off any excess and apply it to the areas where you see redness, using short, dabbing motions rather than sweeping. Rubbing spreads the pigment across the entire cheek, which causes you to lose the correction. You can use it under your foundation to calm the base, or over it to touch up a spot during the day.
A final tip
The most common mistake is using too much. A yellow layer over your entire face will leave you with a sallow complexion; a targeted touch exactly on the red zone does the job. So, start small and build up where necessary.
And be realistic about what this product is: it’s makeup. It softens what you see, but it doesn't change why your skin turns red. If your redness persists or increases, that is something to look into during a consultation, not something to solve with powder. This little jar is what you use in the meantime while you work on the rest, and that often makes more of a difference than you would think.
