Description
A soothing gel-cream for skin that has been through a lot. Developed for people undergoing intensive medical treatment, and equally useful after a day with too much sun or following a treatment here at the institute.
Why it works
Overburdened skin lacks two things: calm and hydration. That combination is the design goal of this cream. The foundation is SCA Biorepair, a snail secretion filtrate, supplemented with calendula, the classic soothing extract from marigolds.
What you won't find here is a long list of active ingredients. This is intentional: the fewer stimuli, the better irritated skin can tolerate it. The texture is a gel-cream that absorbs quickly and does not feel heavy on the skin.
For whom
I mainly recommend this cream in two situations.
For permanent hair removal sessions. Your skin feels warm and slightly irritated after a session and needs primarily rest in the days that follow. This is the skincare I recommend for that, precisely because it contains so few ingredients.
After a day with too much sun. On a body that feels tight and warm, or on skin that could use some extra comfort after an intensive treatment.
In addition, the cream was developed for those following a medical treatment that causes the skin to become dry and irritated. If you are following such a treatment, consult your doctor or nurse before using any skincare product; they know your situation and schedule.
It is a nourishing cream, not sun protection. For the body, continue to use the 360 Advanced Gel or one of the sprays.
How to use it
Shake before use. Apply with a gentle massage until the cream has been absorbed, at least morning and evening. After a hair removal session, you can feel free to use it more often during the first few days. If you are undergoing radiotherapy, do not apply the cream in the three to four hours before a session.
What I'd like to share
This is one of the few products where I really see the difference over the course of an entire trajectory. Clients who apply it consistently during their hair removal course say that their skin feels comfortable again more quickly after a session and that they have less discomfort in the days that follow. That is why I provide it as standard with the first trajectory, rather than waiting until someone asks for it.
Another thing I often see with overburdened skin is the tendency to put everything on it: a richer cream, a mask, an oil on top. Usually, the opposite works better. A gentle cream, twice a day, applied with a light touch. Don't rub, just let it sit and absorb.
And keep your skin out of the sun and sauna for the first few days after a session. That costs nothing and makes the biggest difference.
For those who end up here after a sunburn: the best care is the kind you didn't need to use. A generous layer of sunscreen and reapplying every two hours is less work than the following week. Almost no one uses enough, and that is exactly where it usually goes wrong.
