Description

A mineral powder foundation that evens out your skin without making it look like you're wearing anything. You can build the coverage yourself, from light to full.

Why it works

Powder foundation has a bad reputation for many people: dry, powdery, and visible in fine lines after a few hours. That is rarely due to the powder itself and almost always due to how finely it is milled. The minerals and mica in this base are triple-milled, allowing them to sit on top of your skin instead of settling into it. You get a soft, semi-matte finish that diffuses light, without a white cast in photos.

It also contains skincare: vitamins C and E as antioxidants, and green tea extract to keep the skin calm. Talc-free. The texture feels weightless, and after half an hour, you won't even think about it anymore.

For whom

For all skin types, including sensitive skin and skin that has just undergone a treatment. It works particularly well for combination or oily skin and for skin that is prone to irritation: it contains no oil, and you can safely apply it over a blemish.

It also works perfectly for drier skin. In that case, the preparation makes the difference: make sure your skincare has truly absorbed before you begin.

How to use it

Apply your serum, cream, and potentially a primer first, and give them time to absorb. Then, using a kabuki brush or a sponge, press the powder into your skin using short, stippling motions rather than sweeping. Sweeping moves the product; pressing keeps it in place. Start in the center of your face and work outward. If you want more coverage in a specific area, apply a second thin layer instead of applying it thickly right away.

About this shade

Natural Light is the light depth within the natural family. This family is the neutral line in this range: neither pronouncedly warm nor pronouncedly cool.

A final tip

The mistake I see most often is not the foundation, but the shade selection. Test your color on your jawline, in daylight, not on the back of your hand. Your hand rarely has the same color as your face and almost always leads you to a shade that is too dark. If you're in doubt between two, choose the lighter one. You can still correct a shade that is too light with bronzer, but a shade that is too dark will remain visible on your jawline all day.

And one more thing: most people use too much. A thin layer where you need it is more beautiful than a uniform mask over your entire face. Your skin should be allowed to look like skin.
