Description
A mineral powder foundation that evens out your skin without making it look like you're wearing anything at all. You can build the coverage yourself, from light to full.
Why it works
Powder foundation has a bad reputation for many people: dry, grainy, and visible in fine lines after a few hours. That is rarely due to the powder itself, and almost always due to how finely it is milled. The minerals and mica in this base are triple-milled, allowing them to sit on top of your skin instead of sinking into it. You get a soft, semi-matte finish that diffuses light, without a white cast in photos.
It also contains skincare ingredients: vitamins C and E as antioxidants, and green tea extract to keep the skin calm. Talc-free. The texture feels weightless, and after half an hour, you won't even notice it.
For whom
For all skin types, including sensitive skin and skin that has just undergone a treatment. It works particularly well for combination or oilier skin and for skin that is easily prone to breakouts: it contains no oil, and you can safely apply it over a pimple.
It is also perfect for drier skin. In that case, the preparation makes the difference: make sure your skincare has truly absorbed before you begin.
How to use it
Apply your serum, cream, and potentially a primer first, and give them time to absorb. Then, work with a kabuki brush or a sponge and press the powder into your skin with short, dabbing motions instead of sweeping. Sweeping moves the product; pressing lets it settle. Start in the center of your face and work your way outwards. If you want more coverage in a certain area, apply a second thin layer instead of applying it thickly right away.
About this shade
Honey Medium is in the middle of the honey family in terms of depth. That family leans in a warm, honey-yellow direction.
A final tip
The mistake I see most often isn't the foundation, but the shade choice. Test your color on your jawline, in daylight, and not on the back of your hand. Your hand is rarely the same color as your face and almost always leads you to a shade that is too dark. If you are debating between two, choose the lighter one. You can always blend a shade that is too light with bronzer, but a shade that is too dark remains visible on your jawline all day.
And one more thing: most people use too much. A thin layer where you need it is more beautiful than an even mask over your entire face. Your skin should be allowed to look like skin.
Are you unsure about your shade or which foundation suits your skin? Feel free to send me a message, and we can check it together.
