Description
A mineral powder foundation that evens out your skin without looking like you're wearing anything at all. You can build the coverage yourself, from light to full.
Why it works
For many people, powder foundation has a bad reputation: dry, powdery, and visible in fine lines after a few hours. That is rarely due to the powder itself and almost always due to how finely it is milled. The minerals and mica in this base are triple-milled, allowing them to sit on top of your skin instead of sinking into it. You get a soft, semi-matte finish that diffuses light, without a white cast in photos.
It also contains skincare ingredients: vitamins C and E as antioxidants, and green tea extract to keep the skin calm. Talc-free. The texture feels weightless, and after half an hour, you won't even notice it's there.
For whom
For all skin types, including sensitive skin and skin that has just undergone a treatment. It works particularly well for combination or oily skin and skin that is prone to breakouts: it contains no oil, and you can safely apply it over a blemish.
It is also perfect for drier skin. In that case, the preparation makes the difference: ensure your skincare has fully absorbed before you begin.
How to use it
Apply your serum, moisturizer, and primer if using, and give them time to absorb. Then, using a kabuki brush or a sponge, press the powder into your skin with short, dabbing motions instead of sweeping. Sweeping moves the product around; pressing keeps it in place. Start in the center of your face and work outward. If you want more coverage in certain areas, apply a second thin layer rather than applying too much at once.
About this shade
Golden Light is the lightest depth within the golden family. This family leans in a warm, golden-yellow direction: great if your skin looks more yellow than pink.
What I’d like to share with you
The mistake I see most often is not the foundation, but the shade selection. Test your color on your jawline, in daylight, not on the back of your hand. Your hand is rarely the same color as your face and almost always leads you to choose a shade that is too dark. If you are doubting between two, pick the lighter one. You can always fix a shade that is too light with bronzer, but a shade that is too dark will remain visible along your jawline all day.
And another thing: most people use too much. A thin layer where you need it is more beautiful than an even mask over your entire face. Your skin should be allowed to look like skin.
Are you unsure about your shade or which foundation suits your skin? Feel free to send me a message, and we can check it together.
