Description
A mineral powder foundation that evens out your skin without looking like you're wearing anything at all. You can build the coverage yourself, from light to full.
Why it works
Powder foundation has a bad reputation for many people: dry, cakey, and visible in fine lines after a few hours. That is rarely due to the powder itself and almost always due to how finely it is milled. The minerals and mica in this base are triple-milled, which allows them to lay over your skin instead of settling into it. You get a soft, semi-matte finish that diffuses light, with no white cast in photos.
It also contains skincare ingredients: vitamins C and E as antioxidants, and green tea extract to keep the skin calm. Talc-free. The texture feels weightless, and after half an hour, you won't even think about it anymore.
For whom
For all skin types, including sensitive skin and skin that has just undergone a treatment. It works particularly well for combination or oily skin and for skin that is prone to breakouts: it contains no oil, and you can safely apply it over a pimple.
It is also perfect for drier skin. In that case, preparation makes the difference: make sure your skincare has truly absorbed before you begin.
How to use it
First apply your serum, cream, and any primer, and give them time to absorb. Then, using a kabuki brush or a sponge, press the powder into your skin with short, dabbing motions instead of wiping. Wiping moves the product; pressing sets it in place. Start in the center of your face and work outwards. If you want more coverage in a specific area, apply a second thin layer instead of starting with a thick one.
About this shade
Cocoa Light is the lightest depth within the cocoa family. That family is the deepest line in this range, with a cocoa-brown color direction.
A final tip from me
The mistake I see most often is not the foundation, but the shade selection. Test your color on your jawline, in daylight, and not on the back of your hand. Your hand is rarely the same color as your face and almost always leads you to choose a shade that is too dark. If you are doubting between two, pick the lighter one. A shade that is too light can be balanced out with a bronzer, but a shade that is too dark will remain visible along your jawline all day long.
And another thing: most people use too much. A thin layer where you need it is more beautiful than an even mask over your entire face. Your skin should be allowed to look like skin.
Are you unsure about your shade or which foundation suits your skin? Feel free to send me a message, and we can check it together.
