Description
A soothing cream for skin that is out of balance: tight, flushed, or sensitive after a treatment. It restores moisture and calms the skin. This large size is for those who also use it on their neck and décolleté.
Why it works
When skin feels irritated, the reflex is to apply something rich. But what is usually missing is not fat; it is moisture and calm. Hyaluronic acid binds water in the upper layers. Niacinamide supports the skin barrier, the layer of fats that keeps moisture in and irritants out. Glycyrrhetinic acid from licorice and bisabolol soothe, panthenol and aloe vera soften, and lactobionic acid provides moisture binding in a low dose without irritation. Shea butter, sweet almond oil, and cottonseed oil make the product nourishing.
The texture is a soft cream that absorbs quickly, leaving a supple, non-greasy feel.
For whom
For those whose skin turns red easily, feels tight after washing, or is a bit more sensitive in the days following a professional treatment. Also for dry skin in winter. And surprisingly: also for oily skin that has become overstimulated by harsh products, as it needs rest rather than further degreasing.
How to use it
Morning and evening on clean, dry skin, over the face, neck, and décolleté, or after your serum. Massage in gently until fully absorbed. In the morning, follow with sun protection, as this does not contain an SPF. The detail often missed: people apply way too much as soon as their skin is sensitive. A pea-sized amount is sufficient; a thick layer does not make the skin calmer, only more congested.
A tip from me
This cream is one to keep on hand, even if you don't need it every day. What I see most often in the treatment room is that people start trying everything when their skin goes through a sensitive phase: a different serum, a mask, something else soothing. That rarely makes it better. Falling back on a simple routine and letting it be does more. Your skin will feel calmer after a few days, but feel free to give it two weeks for the redness to truly diminish.
