Why it works

The base is not a traditional soap but a syndet: a mild cleansing agent that leaves your skin’s natural moisture balance intact. That is more important than it seems, because a tight feeling after washing is not a sign that your skin is clean, but that its protective layer has been washed away. Lactic acid works in two ways: it binds moisture and helps stimulate cell renewal. Nordic cotton extract provides sugars, minerals, and polyphenols that soften the skin, while chamomile extract soothes and acts as an antioxidant.

The texture is a clear gel that foams slightly in your hands and rinses away completely. After rinsing, your skin feels soft, not squeaky clean.

For whom

For anyone who knows that tight feeling after cleansing, or has skin that turns red easily. Also great if you are sensitive around the eyes, as this gel is safe to use on the eye contour. And it is also ideal if your skin is oily: oiliness often stems from skin that has been treated too harshly, and a milder cleanser does more for that than a harsh one.

How to use it

Morning and evening, as the first step. Lather a small amount in damp hands and apply the foam to a moistened face and neck. Rinse with lukewarm water. The detail that most often goes wrong: water that is too hot. It dilates the blood vessels, causes redness, and dries out the skin. Lukewarm is enough.

What I would like to share with you

Cleansing is the step that is thought about the least, yet where things most often go wrong. I see clients with a wonderful serum in their cabinet who then wash their face with something that strips the skin. Give yourself about three weeks for that tight feeling to truly disappear, and do not expect a visible change in the mirror from a cleanser. What you will notice, however, is that everything you apply afterwards absorbs better and stings less.
