Description
A serum for skin that flares up easily: cheeks that feel warm, a nose and chin that turn red at the slightest provocation, and fine visible veins.
Why it works
Skin that turns red easily has usually not become hypersensitive due to something you applied to it. It has a thinner, less effective barrier, making it more prone to becoming unbalanced by cold, heat, wind, or a glass of wine. This formula therefore works on that barrier, not on the color. Lactobionic acid is at its core: a large, slow-acting acid that binds moisture and smoothes the surface without the sharp stinging of smaller acids. Azeloglycine and panthenol soothe, a low dose of retinol keeps cell turnover going, and a mild form of vitamin C neutralizes free radicals.
The texture is a cool, light fluid that does not leave the skin feeling tight after absorption.
For whom
For those who flush easily and are familiar with that warm sensation on the cheeks: when going outside in the cold, while exercising, after a hot shower, or after a glass of wine. For those who see fine veins appearing around the wings of the nose. Also for those you might not suspect: skin that has been treated too aggressively for years with scrubs and strong acids looks just the same and needs exactly the same kind of rest.
How to use it
One to two pumps on cleansed, dry skin, in the morning and/or evening. Apply by gently patting it in rather than rubbing or massaging: rubbing makes your skin warmer and redder immediately. Also, cleanse with lukewarm water, never hot. Follow with a soothing cream, and apply sunscreen over it during the day.
What I would like you to know
The first thing people notice here is not the color but the feeling: less tightness, less of that burning sensation after cleansing. This often happens after just a week or two. Improvements in how your skin looks follow more slowly; count on a month or two for that. Where it often goes wrong is during that first good week: the temptation becomes great to add a scrub or a strong acid again, and that is a step backward every single time. Also, keep track for a week or two of what makes your skin feel warm, because that list is different for everyone.
