Why it works

Many people think a tinted cream is a foundation with some SPF in it. It’s actually the other way around. This is primarily a sunscreen with broad-spectrum filters, to which color pigments have been added that adapt to your own tone. As a result, it evens out redness and blemishes without looking like you’re wearing a layer. The filters are reef-safe, and it also contains rice bran oil, an antioxidant complex, and a soothing complex that keeps the skin calm.

The formula is vegan. Please note if you are allergic to iodine: it contains kelp extract, so perform a patch test first. The texture is light and spreads like a cream, not like makeup.

For those who have little time in the morning but still want to head out protected and even-toned. For skin with some redness or an uneven tone. Also for those who never actually wear makeup: this doesn't feel like makeup, but you do see the difference. Not for children. And something you wouldn't expect: men buy this too, precisely because you can't tell that there is anything on the skin.

How to use it

In the morning, as the final step of your skincare routine, apply to the face, neck, and décolleté. Allow twenty to thirty minutes to absorb before going outside. This is where it almost always goes wrong: because it is tinted, people use far too little of it, just as they would with foundation. For the SPF 30 protection, you need about two finger lengths for your face and neck. Reapply every two to three hours if you are outdoors, especially after sweating or swimming.

About this shade

This is the deepest of the four shades. It suits dark skin with a warm to reddish-brown undertone, and also those who normally wear medium but notice that shade looking too light and slightly gray after a sunny period.

A final tip

This is the product that finally gets most people to wear sun protection every day, and that is the real gain. Not because it protects better than a regular SPF, but because you actually wear it. If you are in doubt between two shades, choose the lighter of the two: this cream adapts and becomes slightly warmer on the skin than it looks in the tube. And always test on your jawline, never on your hand. The skin on your hand has a very different color than your face.
