Description
Description
A serum for skin that is starting to lose its firmness and suppleness: fine lines, a jawline that looks less defined, and a complexion that looks tired.
Why it works
You don't lose resilience due to a lack of moisture, which is why a richer cream won't get you very far here. The collagen and elastin network in the deeper layers is produced more slowly and breaks down faster at the same time. Retinol is the ingredient that makes the difference here: it encourages your cells to renew faster and build firmer tissue. Niacinamide also works on your skin barrier, and pycnogenol, an antioxidant from pine bark, neutralizes the free radicals that accelerate the breakdown. Glycolic acid and pyruvic acid smooth the surface, so that light reflects more beautifully.
The texture is a light, silky fluid that absorbs instantly and leaves nothing behind under makeup.
For whom
For those who notice that the skin around the jaw and neck feels looser, that makeup settles into fine lines, and that you look tired in the morning even though you slept well. Also, and perhaps unexpectedly, for those in their mid-thirties who hardly have any lines yet: at that stage, you are working on what's to come, and that is a lot easier than trying to reverse it later.
How to use it
In the morning and/or evening, one to two pumps on cleansed, dry skin, before your cream. Don't forget your neck and décolleté. What often goes wrong: people use this together with a second retinol product on the same evening. That is one too many. Use this instead of your other evening formula, not on top of it. Always apply sunscreen over it during the day.
What I'd like to share with you
This is not a one-week solution. Count on six to eight weeks before you see it yourself, and a little longer before someone else notices. The first few days your skin may feel a bit more sensitive; if so, scale back to every other evening instead of stopping. What I see in the treatment room: the most beautiful results don't come from those who apply the most, but from those who are consistent and use sunscreen every day. Without the latter, you undermine a large part of your own efforts.
