Why it works

A tanning mitt is perfect for large areas, but too imprecise for your face and transitions. That’s exactly where self-tanner is most noticeable: a harsh line at your hairline, an edge along your jaw, or dark knuckles.

This brush is compact and full, with soft fibers that distribute the product instead of letting it pool. This allows you to blend edges until they are completely invisible.

How to use it

Apply a small amount of product to your skin or directly onto the brush, and use gentle circular motions. Blend the edges around your hairline, jawline, hands, and feet.

My pro tip

This is the tool for the final five percent, and that exact five percent determines whether or not people can tell you’re wearing self-tanner.

Don't forget your ears, and the area behind your jaw down to your neck. That is the spot everyone skips and the one that immediately gives you away the moment you put your hair up.

Wash the brush every few uses with mild soap and let it dry flat. If self-tanner dries inside the bristles, it will make the brush stiff.
