Why it works

Micelles are tiny spheres that are attracted to water on one side and oil on the other. This allows them to capture makeup, sebum, and fine dust without the need for rubbing or foaming, and that very foaming action is often what makes sensitive skin feel tight. This formula also contains niacinamide, cucumber extract, olivine, and a prebiotic complex that helps support the natural balance of the skin flora. The pH is close to that of the skin, which is why you are not left with a tight sensation after cleansing.

The texture is thin as water and clear. It leaves no residue and does not sting the eyes, even if you wear contact lenses.

For whom

For every skin type, and especially for skin that reacts easily: red, sensitive, or just recovered from a treatment. Even if your skin is oily and you think you need something stronger, this is often the better choice. A cleanser that degreases too aggressively only kicks your sebum production into overdrive.

How to use it

As the very first step, especially in the evening. Thoroughly saturate a cotton pad, hold it against your closed eye for a few seconds, and only then wipe. This allows waterproof mascara to loosen on its own instead of you having to pull at it. There is no need to rinse.

My advice

The mistake I see most often is using a cotton pad that is too dry and then scrubbing until the makeup is gone. Feel free to use a little more product and let it do its work. In the long run, that does more for your skin than any expensive cream. And a word of honesty: if you wore sunscreen or a full-coverage foundation that day, micellar water is your first cleanse, not your only one. Follow up with a regular cleanser afterwards. This large size lasts for months, so feel free to place it right by the sink.
