Emmagen - Hyal Balancing Lotion

A lotion that you apply after cleansing to instantly soothe your skin. The first step of the Hydra and Glow routine, and the product upon which the rest is built.

Why it works

After cleansing, your skin is momentarily open and vulnerable. What you apply next determines how the rest of your routine is absorbed. This lotion is formulated with three humectants that each work in a different way: glycerin draws moisture to the upper layers, hyaluronic acid locks it in, and sorbitol and lactic acid soften the skin. Melatonin completes the formula. Sucrose esters and phosphatidylcholine form tiny spheres that distribute the active ingredients effectively, while together they strengthen the lipid barrier on the surface of your skin. This is exactly why a lotion does so much more after cleansing than people realize: you replenish what cleansing has stripped away, before your skin has a chance to dry out.

The texture is watery and absorbs immediately, leaving no sticky residue. The formula is 99 percent of natural origin and contains no perfume or parabens.

For whom

For all skin types, and especially for sensitive, irritated, or redness-prone skin. It is gentle enough for the eye area and for chapped lips. And even though the lotion feels lightweight, it is just as valuable for oily skin, as it is often dehydrated and oily at the same time.

How to use it

After cleansing, on a dry face, using a cotton pad. Apply it as soon as possible after patting your skin dry, because the first few minutes are when your skin loses the most moisture. Follow with the Hyal Serum and finally the Hyal C-Glow. That is the order of the line, and it is not random: from thin to thick, from water to cream.

What I would like to share

A lotion is the first step to be skipped when people are in a hurry, and that is exactly where things go wrong. I see it with clients who say their serum isn't working: nine times out of ten, they apply it to bone-dry skin, meaning the hyaluronic acid simply has no moisture to bind to. Do this just before your serum and you will feel the difference within a week. It is also a great emergency solution for those who really cannot manage a full routine in the evening: just a quick swipe with a cotton pad, and your skin has received some care after all.
