Heliocare 360 MD AK Fluid SPF 100+ - 50 ml

The highest level of protection in our range, in a fine fluid for a face that has seen a lot of sun over the years and is now showing it.

Why it works

This is not an ordinary daily sunscreen, but a formula for skin that is extra vulnerable: SPF 100+ against UVB, plus broad-spectrum protection against UVA, visible light, and infrared. That very high value is primarily intended for areas that have been exposed for years, such as the forehead, nose, ears, and a balding scalp.

In addition to Fernblock, the fern extract that Heliocare uses as an antioxidant, it contains a complex with restorative enzymes, supplemented by garden cress extract, biomimetic melanin, and arginine. While filters block radiation, this complex focuses on what happens in the skin cell after radiation has already penetrated.

The texture is fluid and absorbs quickly, without a white cast. Non-comedogenic.

For whom

For anyone with rough, flaky patches or stubborn sunspots on areas that have always been exposed, and for those who need extra protection after a medical or intensive skin treatment. If you are undergoing treatment with a doctor, use this in consultation with him or her: it is protection, not a treatment. If you are looking for regular daily protection, the Sensation or the Age Active Fluid are more pleasant to use.

How to use it

Shake before use. Apply a generous, even layer to cleansed, undamaged skin as the last step before heading outdoors. Use two finger-lengths for the face, ears, and neck. Be sure to include the ears and the hairline. Reapply every two hours, and more frequently in strong sun.

A note from me

A high SPF can easily create a false sense of security: the higher the number, the longer people think they can stay outside. It actually works the other way around. A high factor is there to provide more margin for skin that needs that margin, not to allow you to stay in direct sun for longer.

And the point that applies to everything: almost no one uses enough product. You only achieve the SPF on the packaging by applying a generous layer and reapplying every two hours. If you see a spot that changes in shape, color, or texture, have it checked by your GP or dermatologist. That is not something a cream can do for you.
