A creamy foundation stick that you apply directly to your skin and blend out. Use it as a foundation, as a concealer, and—by choosing a shade darker or lighter—also to contour or highlight.

Why it works

A stick might sound like a lot of product, but in practice, you usually use less than you would with a liquid foundation: you only apply it where you need it. The cream melts at skin temperature, allowing it to adhere to your skin instead of sitting on top of it. That is the secret behind its second-skin finish.

The formula contains hyaluronic acid, a humectant that retains moisture in the upper layers of your skin, ensuring the coverage doesn't dry out throughout the day. It also features mineral pigments and an antioxidant complex with vitamins C and E.

The coverage ranges from light to full, depending on how much you apply and how far you blend it out. The texture is creamy and lightweight.

Who it's for

For all skin types, and especially great if your skin is reactive. It is also practical if you are short on time or want to be able to touch up on the go: you don't need a brush; your fingers will suffice.

It works perfectly for oilier skin as well. Simply apply it thinly and set it with a powder.

How to use it

Swipe the stick directly onto your skin in short lines on the areas where you want coverage. Then blend out with your fingertips or a brush using patting motions instead of wiping: the warmth of your fingers helps the cream melt.

If you want to contour, take a shade or two darker and apply it under your cheekbones, along your hairline, on the sides of your nose, and on your jawline. For highlighting, do the same with a shade or two lighter on your forehead, brow bone, cheekbones, and chin.

About this shade

Cloud 1C is the lightest shade in the range, with a cool undertone. The number in the name indicates the depth, from 1 (lightest) to 12 (deepest). The letter indicates the undertone: C is cool, N is neutral, and W is warm.

A few tips from me

Test your shade on your jawline in daylight, not on the back of your hand. Your hand rarely matches the color of your face and almost always leads you to choose a shade that is too dark. If you are debating between two, choose the lighter one: a shade that is too light can be balanced out with bronzer, but a shade that is too dark will remain visible all day.

One more thing from the cabin: most people twist the stick up way too far. Half a centimeter is more than enough, which also prevents the tip from breaking. Twist it all the way back down after use before putting the cap on to keep the surface neat.
