A powder mask you mix yourself that feels noticeably tight on the skin as it sets. It is the home-version sibling of the one you know from the treatment room.
Why it works
The powder contains amino acids such as proline, lysine, glycine, glutamic acid, and aspartic acid, along with soy protein and a hint of cinnamon oil. You mix it with Exoderma Peel into a smooth paste. As the paste dries, it contracts, which is exactly what gives this mask its name: it works mechanically, and you feel a distinct tightening across your entire face. The cinnamon oil provides a warm, tingling sensation. After rinsing, your skin looks smoother and firmer, and your complexion appears more awakened.
This effect is temporary and builds with repetition. Expect to use one mask per week, not a one-time miracle.
For whom
For skin that feels less firm, has a dull complexion, or an uneven texture. Even if your skin is oily: this does not dry it out like a clay mask. I would not recommend using it on skin that is currently irritated, chapped, or damaged. Wait until it has calmed down.
How to use it
Mix two teaspoons of powder with an equal amount of Exoderma Peel. Apply it with a brush to your cleansed face, neck, and décolleté in upward strokes. Leave it on for thirty to forty minutes and then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Once a week is sufficient.
A word of advice
It pulls tight, and that is part of it. The first time, people are often startled by this, especially around the mouth. Talk as little as possible while it is setting and avoid laughing or eating, as that will break the film and make it ineffective. Plan it for an evening when you have no further obligations: mask on, book in hand, timer set. And have everything ready before you start, because trying to find a brush with a half-dried mask on your face just doesn't work.
