Glo Skin Beauty Eye Base Brush

A short, dense brush with a flat head for applying your first layer of eyeshadow to the eyelid. Synthetic and vegan.

What it's for

For applying color, not for blending. The bristles are packed tightly together and are short, which allows them to press the pigment onto your eyelid rather than spreading it. That is why you get the full color intensity out of an eyeshadow with this brush, which you wouldn't get with a blending brush.

How to use it

Pick up the color and press it flat onto your mobile eyelid, working from the inside out. Do not sweep. Afterwards, buff out the edges with a blending brush so that the color fades softly into the crease.

A few tips from me

Wash it every two weeks with mild soap in lukewarm water, keeping the bristles pointing downward so that no water gets into the metal ferrule where the glue is. Press it back into shape and let it dry on a towel, with the brush head hanging over the edge.

If you also use it for cream eyeshadow, wipe it clean after each use with a damp cloth. Cream that dries in a dense brush makes the bristles stiff, and stiff bristles tug at the thin skin of your eyelid.
