A clear gel that loosens the top, cornified cell layer. It contains no granules or acids, making it suitable for skin that is easily irritated.

Why it works

The base is Macrocystis pyrifera, an extract of giant kelp. This seaweed gives the gel its smooth, gliding texture and allows dead cells to come away as you rinse it off. The pH is neutral, so your skin does not have to deal with the acidic irritation caused by fruit acid gels. This makes it a gentle form of exfoliation: you notice the results in a smoother texture and a complexion that reflects more light, not in a burning sensation.

Additionally, you can use it as a mixing liquid for Foamy Lift. The gel is cool, translucent, and slightly tacky as long as it sits on the skin.

For whom

For dull skin with a rough, uneven texture. It is also ideal for those who flush easily or do not personally like scrubs or acids: because it contains neither, it is often manageable where a traditional scrub is not.

How to use it

Apply a thin layer to cleansed skin, leave it on for ten minutes, and then rinse off. If you want to take it a step further, mix equal parts with Foamy Lift, leave that on for thirty to forty minutes, and rinse thoroughly.

A word of advice

People tend to apply too much by default. A thin layer is sufficient; you should still be able to see your skin through it. Using more product does not provide better results; it only makes it sticky and tempts you to fiddle with your face. And keep in mind what this is for: it maintains your skin between treatments; it does not replace the treatment itself.
