A dietary supplement with essential fatty acids and vitamin E, as a complement to what you apply to your skin.

Why it works

The softgel capsules contain evening primrose oil and sea buckthorn oil, along with vitamin E. Evening primrose oil is rich in linoleic acid and gamma-linolenic acid, while sea buckthorn oil provides omega 3, 6, 7, and 9. Essential fatty acids are called "essential" because your body does not produce them itself: you must obtain them through your diet. Your skin uses them as building blocks for its own lipid layer, which is why this works differently than a cream. A cream applies something on top; this works from within.

In this process, vitamin E does double duty: it keeps the oils in the capsule stable and is an antioxidant itself.

For whom

For those with dry, thin skin who find that creams alone are not enough. Also for those who eat little oily fish or nuts, and for those starting a DMK treatment plan who want to support their skin from the inside out.

How to use it

Two capsules per day with a meal. Not for children. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking medication, consult your doctor or pharmacist first. A dietary supplement is no substitute for a varied diet.

What I would like you to know

Be realistic about the pace. This works from within and is therefore slow: count on months, not weeks, and it is not something you will see in a photo. What I do notice with clients who stick with it is that their skin feels less parched after about three months and that their cream lasts longer. That is the kind of difference you feel rather than see. And put the jar somewhere you see it every day, because a supplement sitting in the cupboard won't work at all.
