A 180 ml mild cleansing gel for normal to oily skin: it removes make-up and the day's sebum without leaving your face feeling squeaky.

Why it works

This is not an acid-based cleanser, and that is intentional. The pH is close to your skin's own, which is more important than most people realize: a cleanser that is too alkaline leaves your skin feeling tight and triggers the sebaceous glands. Oak bark extract and lemon peel oil provide a cleansing and fresh character, aloe vera and panthenol keep the skin supple, and allantoin soothes and helps retain moisture. Yucca extract rounds it off.

The texture is a gel that lathers softly with water and rinses away clearly. No residue, no film, no tight feeling.

For whom

For normal to oily skin with mild congestion and occasional breakouts, and for young skin. It is also interesting if your skin is actually sensitive but you still need something that effectively removes make-up: this is one of the gentlest in the range.

How to use it

Morning and evening. Pea-sized amount, mix with a little water using a fan brush or in your palm, massage in circular motions with extra attention to congested areas, and rinse with lukewarm water. Stay away from your eyes.

A common mistake: using it on a dry face. Without water, the gel rubs and cleanses less effectively, while with water, it lathers and glides smoothly over your skin.

What I would like you to know

For me, this is the cleanser you start with when you don't yet know exactly what your skin needs. It is gentle enough not to disrupt anything, and in a treatment plan, that is often the best first step: first see what your skin does without irritation, and only then add active products. What always surprises me is how much changes when someone only changes their cleanser. Nothing spectacular, but the skin becomes less unpredictable, and that is exactly what we want to avoid.
