Glo Skin Beauty Crease Shader Brush

A brush with a rounded, slightly tapered head, designed for the crease of your eyelid. Synthetic and vegan.

What it's for

The crease is where depth is created, and it's also the place where things go wrong the fastest. This brush is exactly the right width to fit into the crease without going over it, which ensures your shadow stays where you place it instead of spreading across your entire eyelid.

How to use it

Pick up a darker color, tap off the excess, and move the brush back and forth in your crease, like a small windshield wiper. Look straight ahead with your eyes half open, not with your eyes closed: only then can you see where your crease really lies when your face is relaxed.

A final tip

Wash it every two weeks with mild soap in lukewarm water, with the bristles pointing downwards so that no water runs into the metal ferrule where the glue is. Push it back into its original shape and let it dry flat with the head over the edge of a towel.

With eye brushes, there is another reason to keep them clean that has nothing to do with makeup: the skin around your eyes is thin and reacts quickly. A brush that hasn't been washed in months is one of the things I most often trace an irritated eyelid back to.
