Description
Only upon recommendation. I provide this product after a consultation to ensure it matches what your skin needs. Feel free to send me a message or book a free intake, and we can look at it together.
A soothing cream for the days following an intensive treatment, when your skin feels tight, hot, and looks redder than you are used to.
Why it works
What overstimulated skin needs is not more active ingredients, but rest and fats. This cream is therefore primarily an oil blend: soy, sunflower, olive, sweet almond, and grape seed, combined with lecithin which binds moisture and allows the oil to blend beautifully with the skin. Licorice root extract is included for a visibly calmer, less red complexion, and 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid as a stabilized vitamin C for a fresher tone once the worst has passed.
The texture is soft and nourishing, clearly richer than a day cream. You will feel it on your skin for a while, and that is exactly the intention here.
For whom
For sensitive, overstimulated skin and for the period after a treatment or an intensive regimen. It can also be used as a targeted treatment for an area that is struggling, for example around the nose or along the jawline, while you keep using your regular cream on the rest of your face.
How to use it
After cleansing, apply generously to the area that needs it. Gently press it into the skin until absorbed, rather than rubbing. Feel free to reapply it several times a day.
The detail that matters: press, don't massage. Overstimulated skin reacts to friction alone with more redness. Use a flat hand, apply light pressure, and hold it there for a moment.
What I would like to share with you
This cream is part of a treatment plan, not a standalone order, and that’s not just a sales pitch. The point of Contraderm is that you use it at the right time: temporarily, while you pause the rest of your routine. Those who add it permanently without adjusting the rest will have skin that feels comfortable but doesn't make any real progress. As I often say in the treatment room: this is your bandage, not your skincare. As soon as your skin has calmed down, we will build it back up together.
Not sure if this is the right time to switch back? Feel free to send me a message, and we can look at it together.
