Why it works

That stickiness comes from thick, tacky binders used in many glosses to lock in the shine. This formula is built more like a balm and draws its nourishing properties from hyaluronic acid and aloe vera. Hyaluronic acid binds moisture in the tissue, making the lip feel fuller from the inside out rather than just looking wetter. On top of that, it contains an antioxidant complex with vitamins C and E and green tea extract, which protects and soothes the lips.

The texture is balmy and shiny without being sticky. The color is translucent but features real pigment, so you can see it: it's not just a colorless layer. It comes with a soft applicator that allows for precise application.

About this shade

Skinny Dip is a mauve nude: a cooler, slightly grayish nude that mutes rather than enhances your natural lip tone. Quiet and modern, it's a shade that works particularly well with cool or neutral skin tones.

How to use it

Apply with the applicator, either alone or over your lipstick. If you want your lips to look fuller, add an extra dot to the center of your lower lip and spread it from the center outwards. That's where the light hits, and that's what suggests volume. A common mistake: applying too much at once. A thin layer shines just as brightly as a thick layer and lasts longer.

Gloss is the product people apologize for most, yet use most often. I'm often told it's "too young," but that's simply not true: it's precisely the shine that makes a more mature lip look fuller, whereas matte accentuates every line. One honest piece of advice: you will need to touch it up. Gloss doesn't last all day—it's impossible with this texture. Expect to reapply after eating, so keep it in your bag.
