Why it works

That stickiness comes from thick, tacky binders that many glosses use to hold onto their shine. This formula is built like a balm and draws its nourishing properties from hyaluronic acid and aloe vera. Hyaluronic acid binds moisture in the tissue, making the lip feel fuller from the inside out rather than just looking wetter. On top of that, it contains an antioxidant complex with vitamins C and E and green tea extract, which protects and soothes the lips.

The texture is balm-like and glossy without being sticky. The color is translucent but has real pigment, so you can see it: it’s not just a colorless layer. It comes with a soft applicator that allows for precise application.

About this shade

Secret Agent is a mid-spectrum mauve nude, a touch warmer than Skinny Dip. It’s the shade closest to your own lips, but more even and with a shine. A safe choice for just about any skin tone.

For whom

For those who would like to wear gloss but can’t stand their hair getting stuck in it. Also for those whose lips feel tight quickly in winter or in dry indoor air. And, surprisingly, even if you normally only wear matte colors: a layer of this over them instantly turns that same color into something else.

How to use it

Apply with the applicator, either on its own or over your lipstick. If you want to make your lips look fuller, add an extra dot to the center of your bottom lip and blend from the center outwards. That’s where the light hits, and that’s what suggests volume. A common mistake: applying too much at once. A thin layer shines just as brightly as a thick layer and lasts longer.

Gloss is the product people apologize for using the most, yet it's the one they use the most. I’m often told it might be too young, but that’s not true: it’s precisely shine that makes a more mature lip look fuller, whereas matte accents every line. What I will tell you honestly: you will need to touch it up. Gloss doesn't last all day—that’s impossible with this texture. Expect to reapply after eating and keep it in your bag.
