Glo Skin Beauty Conditioning Lip Gloss - Desert Bloom

A lip gloss that cares for your lips while you wear it, with enough shine to be noticed and without the sticky feeling that keeps most people away from gloss.

Why it works

That stickiness comes from thick, tacky binders used in many glosses to hold the shine. This formula is built more like a balm and gets its nourishing properties from hyaluronic acid and aloe vera. Hyaluronic acid binds moisture in the tissue, making the lip feel fuller from the inside out instead of just looking wetter. On top of that, it contains an antioxidant complex with vitamins C and E and green tea extract, which protects and soothes the lips.

The texture is balmy and shiny without being sticky. The color is translucent but features real pigment, so you can see it: it's not just a colorless layer. It comes with a soft applicator that allows for precise application.

About this color

Desert Bloom is a plum wine: the deepest color in this range, cool-toned and purplish. Translucent like the others, but clearly present. Striking with dark hair and during the darker months, and beautiful over a berry-colored lipstick.

For whom

For those who would like to wear gloss but can't stand their hair getting stuck in it. Also for those whose lips tend to feel tight in winter or in dry indoor air. And surprisingly, also for those who normally only wear matte colors: a layer of this over that same color immediately transforms it into something else.

How to use it

Apply with the applicator, either alone or over your lipstick. If you want to make your lips look fuller, dab an extra bit in the center of your lower lip and blend outward from the center. That’s where the light hits, and that’s what suggests volume. A common mistake: applying too much at once. A thin layer shines just as brightly as a thick layer and lasts longer.

What I’d like to share

Gloss is the product people apologize for the most, and yet use the most. I am often told it might be too young, but that’s not true: it is precisely the shine that makes a more mature lip look fuller, whereas matte accentuates every line. However, I’ll be honest with you: you will have to touch it up. Gloss doesn't last all day; that’s just not possible with this texture. Expect to reapply after eating and keep it in your bag.
