Heliocare Color Gelcream SPF 50 Light - 50 ml

A tinted gel-cream that replaces sun protection and foundation in one step, in the lightest shade. For those who are short on time in the morning but still want an even complexion.

Why it works

Most tinted day creams provide either color or protection, rarely both properly. This gel-cream offers high protection with SPF 50 while providing coverage comparable to a liquid foundation, with a natural finish.

The protection relies on a stable combination of sun filters, supplemented with Fernblock, the fern extract that Heliocare uses throughout its entire range as an antioxidant alongside the filters, as well as green tea. Filters block radiation; antioxidants work on what happens in the skin afterward.

The texture is a gel-cream: more comfortable and nourishing than the oil-free gels in the 360 range, making it more pleasant for skin that tends to feel tight. Non-comedogenic.

For whom

For normal to dry skin that wants some coverage. Light is the lightest shade and suits pale to light-toned skin. If you tan in the summer, the Brown shade will be a better match. If you have oily or combination skin, the 360 Color Gel Oil-Free will stay matte and is the better choice.

How to use it

In the morning as the final step, on cleansed skin. Count on two finger-lengths for the face, ears, and neck: a strip of product along the index and middle finger, from knuckle to fingertip. Apply in dots first and then blend with your fingers or a sponge so the color stays even. Reapply every two hours once you are outdoors.

What I would like to share with you

As soon as a product starts to resemble makeup, people begin to dose it like makeup: a small amount, smoothed out until it looks nice. And that is where the protection is lost. Almost no one uses enough product, and you only achieve the SPF stated on the packaging with a generous layer and by reapplying every two hours.

My practical tip: use this gel-cream as your morning layer, and touch up later in the day with the Compact or the transparent stick. That is more realistic than trying to rebuild your entire face at two in the afternoon.
