Biretix Hydramat mattifying fluid - 50 ml

A light day cream for oily, blemish-prone skin: hydrating without being heavy, mattifying without drying out, and working on lingering spots.

Why it works

Those with blemishes often skip day cream for fear of increased shine. But skin that dries out produces even more sebum, and that’s where a vicious cycle begins. This fluid solves that by separating two things: moisture and oil. A long-lasting hydrating system with cross-linked hyaluronic acid brings moisture in, while silicon microparticles and absorbent powders capture excess sebum on the surface. Niacinamide and zinc help keep sebum production in balance. Additionally, it contains RetinSphere technology, a combination of hydroxypinacolone retinoate and encapsulated retinol that mildly helps renew the skin and thus refines its texture. Finally, tranexamic acid works on pigment, which explains why the formula does something about the brown spots that remain after a blemish has faded.

The texture is a thin fluid that absorbs quickly and provides a matte finish. Non-comedogenic and tested on sensitive skin.

For whom

For oily or combination skin with blemishes, that shines and on which spots remain. Also great under makeup, because the matte finish keeps foundation in place longer. And surprisingly, also for those older than the target group you would expect for this brand: many women get blemishes again around the age of forty and then need something that mattifies without stressing the skin.

How to use it

Shake the bottle before use. Once a day or as often as needed, apply evenly to cleansed skin and massage gently until fully absorbed. It contains a retinoid, so two things go with it: apply sun protection every morning, because retinoids make your skin more sensitive to UV and without SPF those spots will simply return. And do not use this product during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

What I’d like to share with you

For many clients, this is the product that breaks the misconception that blemish-prone skin doesn't need care. What I see most often in the cabin with people struggling with blemishes is skin that is both oily and dehydrated, because they have been scrubbing everything away for months. Give it about four to six weeks before you judge your skin's texture, and count on longer for the spots: they fade slowly, sometimes over several months. Combine it with the Biretix Cleanser and, if you use a gel in the evening, with the Duo or Tri-Active Gel. Starting two retinoid products at the same time is not wise, so build it up.
