A rich cream for those weeks when your skin just doesn't know what to do: tight, warm, red, and hypersensitive to everything you apply.

Why it works

Skin reacting this way usually lacks oil, not water. That is why this cream uses shea butter, which leaves a soothing barrier that reduces moisture evaporation and relieves that tight feeling. Safflower oil provides linoleic acid, a fatty acid the skin uses to keep its outer layer supple and cohesive. Beta-glucan binds moisture and provides that calm, plump feeling you notice almost immediately after application.

The texture is distinctly more nourishing than most day creams: soft, light white, and not immediately absorbed. Give it a minute, and it will turn matte.

For whom

For fragile, irritable skin that quickly feels red and warm, and for skin that looks thin and tired. Also for those who have recently undergone an intensive treatment or a period of using acids and notice that their regular cream is suddenly not enough.

How to use it

After your cleanser and serums. Two to three pumps over your face, neck, and décolleté. Spray DMK Herb & Mineral Mist over it and work both in together. During the day, finish with sun protection.

A helpful tip: warm the cream between your palms first. On cold skin, it sits as a layer; on warm, slightly damp skin, it melts right in.

What I would like to share with you

I call this my lifebuoy internally, which is exactly why it is not a product you simply order. I provide it when I see that a skin is overstimulated and someone needs to temporarily scale back to the basics: cleansing, this cream, sun protection, nothing more. What strikes me every time is how difficult people find that to be. They want to do something extra, while doing less is the answer. Two weeks of rest with this cream often does more than three new products. Afterward, we will build it back up together.
