A sulfur-based clay mask for those weeks when your skin is restless: shiny, bumpy, with red spots that just won't go away.
Why it works
Sulfur is one of the oldest ingredients in skincare and is still used because it loosens the top layer of dead cells. This helps clear clogged pores more easily, leaving the skin looking more even. It also contains two types of clay, kaolin and bentonite, which absorb excess oil and impurities. Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide provide coverage and create the matte effect you see immediately after rinsing.
Do not expect a perfume aroma. Sulfur smells like sulfur, which takes some getting used to for many people. The texture is a thick, slightly grainy clay that dries on the skin.
For whom
For oily and congested skin, and for those who suffer from inflamed bumps. Also, if your skin looks dull and tired even without breakouts: the mask removes the dull layer, and you will see the results immediately. For very dry or flaky skin, I would skip it.
How to use it
Apply a generous layer to cleansed skin on the face, neck, and décolleté. Leave on for twenty minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Once or twice a week is more than enough.
The detail that often goes wrong: people apply a paper-thin layer because the mask looks dark and intense. If it's too thin, it dries into a crust that you have to scrub off aggressively. Feel free to apply it thick enough that you can no longer see your skin through it.
What I’d like to share
This mask is not a weekend treat, and that is exactly why I don't just keep it on the shelf. It is part of a regimen where we look at the patterns of your skin together. What I notice in the treatment room: people who use it three times a week because they love the results so much often show up a month later with tight, irritated skin. Once a week, consistently, does more than an intensive catch-up week. And don't plan it for the night before an important event: your skin looks even better the day after than it does immediately after rinsing.
Unsure how often your skin can handle this? Feel free to send me a message, and we can look at it together.
