Description
A mineral powder foundation that evens out your skin without looking like you’re wearing anything. You can build the coverage yourself, from light to full.
Why it works
For many people, powder foundation has a bad reputation: dry, powdery, and visible in fine lines after a few hours. That is rarely the powder's fault and almost always depends on how finely it is milled. The minerals and mica in this base are triple-milled, allowing them to sit on top of your skin rather than settling into it. You get a soft, semi-matte finish that diffuses light, without a white cast in photos.
It also contains skincare ingredients: vitamins C and E as antioxidants, and green tea extract to keep the skin calm. Talc-free. The texture feels weightless, and after half an hour, you won’t even think about it anymore.
For whom
For all skin types, including sensitive skin and skin that has recently undergone a treatment. It works particularly well on combination or oilier skin and skin that becomes irritated easily: it is oil-free, and you can safely apply it over a breakout.
It is also perfect for drier skin. In that case, the preparation makes the difference: ensure your skincare has fully absorbed before you begin.
How to use it
Apply your serum, cream, and potentially a primer first, and give them time to absorb. Then, work with a kabuki brush or a sponge and press the powder into your skin using short, stippling motions rather than sweeping. Sweeping moves the product around, while pressing lets it sit. Start in the center of your face and work outward. If you want more coverage in certain areas, apply a second thin layer instead of starting with a heavy hand.
About this shade
Golden Dark is the deepest shade within the golden family. This family leans in a warm, golden-yellow direction: great if your skin looks more yellow than pink.
A final tip
The mistake I see most often is not the foundation, but the choice of shade. Test your color on your jawline, in daylight, and not on the back of your hand. Your hand is rarely the same color as your face and will almost always lead you to a shade that is too dark. If you are debating between two, choose the lighter one. A shade that is too light can still be corrected with bronzer; a shade that is too dark will remain visible along your jawline all day.
And one more thing: most people use too much. A thin layer where you need it is more beautiful than an even mask over your entire face. Your skin should be allowed to remain skin.
Are you unsure about your shade or which foundation suits your skin? Feel free to send me a message, and we can check it together.
