Description

A retinol night cream for skin that could benefit from a more refined texture: fine lines, rougher skin, and persistent pigment spots.

Why it works

Retinol is often described as something that peels your skin, but that’s not correct. Retinol signals your skin cells to renew themselves faster. As a result, the top layer becomes more even and pigment does not linger as long. Peeling is therefore not proof that it is working; it is a sign that you have gone too fast. This cream contains pure retinol combined with a dual antioxidant complex and a moisture complex featuring hyaluronic acid, trehalose, urea, sodium lactate, allantoin, and glycerin, so your skin can keep up with that higher tempo without drying out.

The texture is a soft, nourishing cream that absorbs without leaving a greasy residue.

For whom

For those starting to see fine lines, those with a dull complexion, or those who notice their skin feels rougher than it used to. Less obvious but logical: oilier skin prone to clogged pores and breakouts also benefits from a faster renewal rate. If you have highly reactive skin, it is better for us to look into this together first. By the way, this smaller size is convenient if you want to start using retinol or if you travel frequently.

How to use it

Only in the evening, after your cleanser and serum. Start with one to three times a week and build up gradually as your skin tolerates it well. Apply to your face, neck, and décolleté using light, circular motions. Retinol makes your skin more sensitive to the sun, so broad-spectrum sun protection during the day is a must, even on gray days. A mistake I often see: using too much product. A pea-sized amount is enough for your entire face.

What I would like to leave you with

Retinol requires patience. You usually won't see much in the first few weeks, and sometimes your skin feels a bit drier while it adjusts. That is exactly the moment when most people stop, and that is just when it's starting to work. Count on two to three months before you really see the difference in texture. With clients who stick with it and don't forget their sun protection, I notice the uniformity above all: the skin looks calmer and the light hits it differently. If you are going to be in the sun a lot for a period, scale back for a while and pick it up again afterward.

Are you in doubt whether this suits your skin? Feel free to send me a message, and we can look into it together.
