Description

The least sweet of the fruity flavors, and the one that remains the most neutral if you drink it every day.

What it is

A plant-based meal replacement in powder form. You mix two level scoops, 65 grams in total, with approximately 300 ml of water or a plant-based drink. That is one full meal, not a snack.

One bag contains 850 grams, enough for about thirteen shakes.

What's inside

The base is pea protein, oat flour, and inulin, with flaxseed oil and sunflower oil powder for fats. Sweetened with steviol glycosides from stevia, thickened with xanthan gum. In addition, a long list of vitamins and minerals: A, C, D3, E, K1, and the B vitamins, plus iron, zinc, magnesium, calcium, potassium, manganese, copper, chromium, iodine, and selenium.

Be careful if you avoid gluten: it contains oat flour, which contains gluten. It does not contain lactose or soy, and no sugar has been added.

Nutritional value per 65-gram shake

248 kcal, 6.5 g fat of which 0.9 g is saturated, 15.2 g carbohydrates of which 2.4 g is sugar, 7.4 g fiber, 28.0 g protein, and 1.6 g salt.

Proteins contribute to the maintenance of muscle mass. With twenty-eight grams per serving, that statement is allowed here.

For whom

For those looking for a shake that doesn't taste like dessert. Blueberry is more subtle than strawberry and banana, making it easier to drink as a midday meal without it feeling like you've had a milkshake. Not for those who avoid gluten, and not during pregnancy or breastfeeding without consulting your doctor.

How to use it

One shake in place of one meal. Two a day is fine; I advise against three. Mix with cold water, shake vigorously, and drink it immediately.

Take your time with it. A shake is finished in two minutes, while it takes your body fifteen minutes to register that you have eaten. If you drink it too quickly, you'll be raiding the cupboard half an hour later anyway.

Something I'd like you to know

There are two and a half grams of sugar per serving, slightly more than in the vanilla and chocolate versions. Still very little, but you should read it from me rather than having to figure it out yourself.

What I notice with people who use this: the first week goes smoothly, but in week three, the shake becomes a chore. That is the moment things go wrong, not at the beginning. Therefore, don't buy three bags of the same flavor right away. Get two different ones so you can alternate and keep it up longer.

And as with all flavors: this replaces a meal, not a diet. What you put on your plate in the evening remains the most important part of your day.
