Description
A featherlight facial fluid that does two things at once: provides high protection and works on the fine lines and dullness that the sun has left behind over the years.
Why it works
Most of what we call skin aging doesn't come from age, but from radiation. UVA goes deeper than UVB, reaches the connective tissue, and easily passes through glass all year round. That is why daily protection is the most underestimated anti-aging step there is: much more modest than a treatment, and far more effective.
This fluid provides high broad-spectrum protection against UVB, UVA, visible light, and infrared, and also addresses blue light from screens. In addition to Fernblock, the fern extract that Heliocare uses as an antioxidant, it contains iron oxides that help shield against visible light, plus a triple-care complex with hyaluronic acid, serine, and trehalose. The latter isn't for protection, but for plumping the skin and keeping it supple.
The texture is extremely light and silky, with a blurring effect that visually softens fine lines. Non-comedogenic and hypoallergenic.
For whom
For those starting to see fine lines, who have a duller complexion, or notice that their skin looks less even. Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive or acne-prone. If you primarily want to target pigment spots, the Pigment Solution Fluid is the more focused choice. If you are just looking for daily protection without extra benefits, the Sensation is sufficient.
How to use it
Shake before use. Apply in the morning as the last skincare step, after your serum and before your make-up. Use two finger-lengths for the face, ears, and neck: a line of product across the index and middle finger, from knuckle to fingertip. Include the neck and décolleté; those are the areas that reveal how much sun you have had first. Reapply every two hours when exposed.
My advice
Don't expect results within a week. You mainly see the work of a product like this in what you don't develop: five years from now. That makes it not very spectacular, yet incredibly worthwhile. The women in whom I see the difference most clearly are not the ones with the longest routines, but the ones who apply it every morning, even in winter, even when it rains.
And the honest truth: almost no one uses enough product. You only achieve the SPF on the packaging with a generous layer and by reapplying every two hours. Even then, shade is still necessary during peak hours, because complete protection does not exist.
